Summer Season of Intentionality

Welcome, Summer Goodness ☀️

There's something magical about the way summer arrives—not just with longer days and warmer air, but with an invitation to live differently. Summer extends an open hand, offering space to breathe, reflect, and reimagine.

Summer carries a unique rhythm that pulses with possibility. This season doesn't just change our calendars; it shifts our perspective. While we often think of transformation as dramatic and sudden, it can be, and it can also be a lesson about the power of gradual change. Like flowers that bloom in the heat, our own growth during these months tends to be more subtle, more sustained. We have time to notice what serves us and what doesn't, to make small adjustments that compound into meaningful shifts throughout the year.

Perhaps it's finally reading that book that's been calling to you or having the courage to start a creative project you've been putting off. Maybe it's the way evening walks become a meditation, or how cooking dinner transforms from a chore into a ritual of care. Summer gives us permission to experiment with new versions of ourselves. Summer is the time to recalibrate our relationship with responsibility, our specific calling and with the unpredictability of life. It is in the margins of no agendas and slowness that we are able to bear witness to patterns that we have been too busy to observe, the relationships that need tending and the internal dreams you have that need caretaking.

This by no means is easy work or comfortable because this journey reveals the parts of self that need changing, pushing, and clearing. As we move deeper into summer, consider how you might honor this season's unique offerings. Perhaps it's protecting your Saturday mornings from commitments or planning that trip you've been talking about for years. Maybe it's as simple as eating dinner outside more often or calling that friend who always makes you laugh.

Summer doesn't ask us to become entirely different people—it asks us to become more fully ourselves. It reminds us that transformation doesn't always require upheaval; sometimes it simply requires the courage to be clear and pay attention. In a world that often demands we move faster, summer offers a different invitation:

☀️What if this season, you moved at the speed of contentment?

☀️What if you let yourself be transformed not by doing more, but by being more present to what already is?

The fullness of summer isn't just about packed schedules or exciting adventures—though those can certainly be part of it. It's about the fullness that comes from living with intention, from making space for both growth and rest.

What will you reclaim this summer? What clarity is waiting for you in the work?

This Summer:

Eco-Educators Collective “EEC” met at the library to discuss Black Culture & Traditions. We focused on Juneteenth and enjoyed Savannah Thrills, created by co-founder Shonda and her two children!

If you want to bring some sweetness into your summer, whether through food or inspiration, Shonda provided the Thrills recipe below - along with a delicious read, Sweet Lady: An Ode to the Candy Lady

Sweet Lady: An Ode to the Candy Lady

We were excited about our hike this week, but the weather wasn’t playing with us! So we are back at it and prepared for the week of July 7! We are focusing on habitats and biomes. Email us if you’re interested!

Wishing you nothing but love and summer goodness!
