The Shortest Day...


Today we welcome the season of winter. As a school that looks to the rhythm of the seasons to guide our conversations and how we experience the outdoors, we welcome winter with open arms as we ease into another season. 


What is so special about the winter solstice is that we are given the opportunity for renewal--a renewal of relationships with self, family, and others. We also have the blessing to shed the things that no longer serve us mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. 


Let's listen to the rhythm of winter by slowing down, acknowledging the need for warmth in our homes and in our bodies, and enjoying the beauty of silence.
